Happy Monday Beautés!

I hope you all had a beautiful Resurrection Sunday! It was a gorgeous day in Las Vegas. In true tradition on Resurrection Sunday, we donned our Sunday's Best and headed to church to celebrate. This Sunday I actually went to Sunrise Service at 6:00am and then an Easter play with my aunt and little cousin. I am no morning person, but I made it through the day successfully!

I decided to shop my closet this Easter. I have so many pieces that I haven't even worn yet, that I've been waiting on the right time and place to break them out. I'm really into nudes and pastels right now, so I went with that theme this Easter. Some months ago I snagged this amazingly cute nude Calvin Klein pleated babydoll dress while thrifting. This dress will definitely be a staple in my closet. I put this together with a blush pink blazer from Bamboo via Burlington's Coat Factory, nude pumps, long string of pearls, and a cocktail ring. This is my SWEET SIMPLICITY.

Fashion In The Spring

Hello Beautés!

Spring is in full effect! What other way to usher in Spring with fashion show. Avenue celebrated the Spring season and their Spring collection with a fashion. Since I'm no longer associate at Avenue, they asked me to come back to participate in the show. Plus as a bonus the models got a 40% discount, and who can resist that! The experience was great, and a tad bittersweet! We all had to come into the store to select our own outfits prior to the show. Avenue had a lot of colors available for the Spring, lots of corals, fuchsias, turquoise, and black & whites.

I decided to have a mixture of casual and dressy looks to wear in the fashion show. Being only 20 something I wanted to add a more youthful vibe to the clothes. Especially since over the years of working at Avenue I have seen and assisted many young plus size ladies. Here are the pictures from the show:

 

 

How did I use my discount? I wanted to get everything...lol (I'm Addicted! What can I say!) but I decided to get a pair of Avenue Brand Ankle Skinny Jeans and Statement Necklace (both shown in picture 2) and the Colorful Kimono (shown in picture 1) which will be amazing for the summer in Vegas! I might go back to get the printed black & white pants and turquoise top. I chose not to get the black dress because I have about a million and a half of LBDs.

Flats Frenzy

 

Hi Beautés!

F L A T S....Flats are far from unflattering these days! I love my heels, but let's be honest who can resist a stylish shoe that's crazy comfortable?!  Pointed, prints, colors, and studs....options, options, options! With all the current styles of flats, how could you not go in a flat out frenzy!
